cant open optifine with java

For some reason whenever I try to run the Optifine file with java, a black window opens up and immediately closes itself. Nothing ever happens. I have made sure to delete and redownload java with the correct version, but it just will not run. I also just saw today that Minecraft is running with open JDK instead of Java Platform SE Binary  · So I downloaded java and chose to open blogger.com file using: "Java(TM) Platform SE binary" (as was specified in the guide on how to install Optifine). When i double click the file, a tiny, what looks like a console command window, pops up and then disappears a fraction of a second later. Waiting does nothing. The program cannot be found in task  · Press Windows key + R, type " cmd " in that box, type " cd + filepath " to open the folder where the OptiFine is stored, and then type " java -jar [name of Optifine file, replacing any spaces with underscores].jar " to run blogger.com file.
